The vast community of migrant workers and immigrants has become an important partner in Taiwanese society and local Churches, and a key driving force for a healthy and prosperous Taiwan. It is our undeniable mission to help them integrate and develop here, and ensuring their human rights are protected. It is truly encouraging that, in this special Jubilee Year of Hope, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Taiwan has organized for the first time the Migrants and Immigrants Gathering in Taiwan — “Journeying Together in Hope with Love and Gratitude”, hosted by the Hsinchu Diocese. After more than a year of preparation, we are now gathered at the Taoyuan Arena to celebrate together. Thanks be to God!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude and fraternal welcome to the Apostolic Envoy, Rev. Msgr. Erwin José Aserios Balagapo, Undersecretary of the Section for the First Evangelization and New Particular Churches of the Dicastery for Evangelization, and to the representatives of the bishops’ conferences from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand, who are also here with us today. We also sincerely thank the Ministry of the Interior, the National Immigration Agency and the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor, and the team from the Taoyuan City Government for their assistance and guidance; the strong support of the Taoyuan City Council and the Office of Councilor Huang Wan-Ru; along with the many co-organizing institutions and dedicated volunteers, whose enthusiastic efforts have made this vibrant and fulfilling celebration of communion possible. We hope that all our migrant and immigrant friends may be enriched and blessed abundantly in body, mind, and spirit.
I would also like to take this opportunity to ask all the faithful to prayerfully reflect, in light of the priestly, prophetic, and kingly mission we have received, on how we can work together with diocesan migrant and immigrant service centers to develop long-term pastoral and evangelization programs. Let migrants and immigrants truly become integral members of the Church, so that in their future lives and actions they may strengthen their connection and cooperation with their brothers and sisters in Christ, bearing witness to the Lord as we journey together on the pilgrimage of hope. Amen!

B-2 Message from Deputy Mayor Su Junbin of Taoyuan City
Today, it is a great honor to represent the Taoyuan City Government in participating in this event grand event of “Journeying Together in Hope, with Love and Gratitude.” Here, people of different nationalities, languages, and faiths come together in faith and love, allowing us to deeply feel the power of unity and the warmth that comes from faith.
I am also a member of an immigrant family; this is why I feel a special connection to this kind of gathering. Taoyuan has about 200,000 migrant workers and immigrants; it is a city where migrant workers, immigrants, and local citizens live side by side. Our friends from Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and other countries work hard and establish their families on this land. They not only contribute to Taoyuan’s economic development over the past few years but also bring the vibrant cultures and cuisines of their countries, integrating them into Taoyuan’s culture.
The city government not only values industrial development and economic construction but also strives to create a diverse and friendly urban environment. Our 1999 Citizen Hotline provides services in multiple languages, including Indonesian and Vietnamese, and we also produce multilingual educational leaflets for anti-fraud and heatstroke awareness campaigns, ensuring that our migrant workers can fully understand and protect themselves. Various government departments also assist migrant workers and immigrants to better integrate into society through cultural events and educational programs. Personally, I have shared reunion dinners with migrant worker friends for two consecutive Lunar New Years. During important festivals of various countries, such as Indonesia’s National Day, I also participate in traditional games and activities with everyone, hoping that they can feel a sense of belonging in Taoyuan. The spirit of embracing diversity to create a second home for migrant workers even led to Taoyuan being selected by CommonWealth Magazine last year for the City Governance Excellence Award.
Since August 2024, the Civil Affairs Bureau has assisted the Hsinchu Diocese in preparing for today’s gathering. From the venue, transportation, medical care, volunteers, police security, to cultural hospitality, we hope that this event will not only be a religious gathering but also a bridge for cultural exchange and a symbol of a city that thrives together.
The Catholic Church has long cared for the vulnerable and supported workers. This spirit is admirable and makes the Church one of our most important partners in advancing city governance. We sincerely hope to continue collaborating in the future, upholding the spirit of “Journeying Together in Hope, with Love and Gratitude” to build Taoyuan into a city of cultural diversity.

We praise and thank the Lord for this moment, when the Catholic Church of Taiwan opens her arms and heart to make each of you feel important, special, and truly valuable. You are not strangers in our midst-you are cherished members of our one family in Christ. The Church walks with you, listens to you, and stands beside you. She is united with you in your joys and struggles, and she is deeply concerned for your welfare and wellbeing.

We express our warm greetings and heartfelt gratitude to Bishop John-Baptist Lee, President of the Chinese Regional Bishops’ Conference of Taiwan, and Bishop Joseph Su, Chairman of the Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People, for their spirit of solidarity in inviting us, which enabled the Vietnamese delegation be present and participate in the Migrants and Immigrants Gathering in Taiwan.
We also extend our greetings and gratitude to Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interior, the National Immigration Agency, the Ministry of Labor, and other related agencies for their efforts in welcoming many Vietnamese citizens to Taiwan for study, work, and active participation in society and the activities of the Catholic Church.
We thank the Catholic Church in Taiwan, especially the pastoral offices for migrants and immigrants in parishes and dioceses, for opening their arms to welcome Vietnamese migrants, providing pastoral care and support, regardless of whether they are Catholic or non-Catholic. We are also grateful to the religious congregations in Taiwan, who, inspired by the mission of the Risen Christ, care for and welcome Vietnamese religious men and women, giving them the opportunity to participate in the Church’s evangelizing mission in Taiwan.
The phenomenon of migration often brings many challenges and complexities to society and the local Church. Yet, from another perspective, history also shows that migrants themselves are active contributors to the development of the economy, culture, and mission of proclaiming the Gospel in places where they live.
To our migrant brothers and sisters, whether Catholic or non-Catholic, we invite you to live a stable and prosperous life, to always respect the law, integrate into society, maintain unity, and never lose your national identity. To all Catholic faithful, we encourage you to stay connected with the pastoral offices for migrants and immigrants and to actively participate in parish pastoral and evangelizing activities.
The day you left your homeland for Taiwan, you carried dreams of creating a better future for yourself and your family—economically, culturally, and spiritually. Never forget the goals you held when you left, for losing sight of them may lead to losing yourself and jeopardizing the happiness of your family.
This Migrants and Immigrants Gathering is a celebration of inclusivity and hope. May this momentous gathering strengthen unity and bring peace, joy, and happiness to all.

Dear Chair, committee members, migrant brothers and sisters from different countries, and our beloved Thai migrant workers:
On behalf of the Catholic Church of Thailand, I send love, care, and blessings from our homeland to all migrant workers, with special regard for our Thai brothers and sisters—over 70,000 of whom are currently working in Taiwan.
The journey of searching a better life and livelihood is never easy. We must live far from our families and face many challenges and hardships. Yet through these difficulties, we witness the courage, perseverance, and faith that sustain us, allowing us to continue standing strong and to bring goodness to ourselves, our families, our communities, and our nation.
From another perspective, while we work in Taiwan, Thailand itself is home to over four million migrant workers and their children from neighboring countries such as Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia. They, too, have migrated to work and live in Thailand, hoping for a better life and to provide for their families. They, in turn, deserve care and support.
Today, as we gather in an atmosphere of love, hope, and gratitude, I invite all of you to remain confident that whether we are in Thailand or Taiwan, both are like our home. These are places where we find encouragement, warmth, and care without discrimination based on race or religion. Everyone in society is a brother or sister deserving respect for their dignity and honor. Each of us has different roles, expertise, or skills, but ultimately, when we are in another country, we can be contributors and participants in building up the society where we live. In this way, we take part in nurturing prosperity and goodness to the world, and we also become a good example to others, showing that wherever Thai people are, we bring growth and contribute positively to the country where we live.
On this occasion, I would like to thank the CRBC and the Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People for recognizing the importance of caring for and attending to migrants of all nationalities who come to work in Taiwan. May all your endeavors be successful and achieve the goals you have set.
Finally, may God bless the work and our daily lives, filling them with happiness, safety, and strength so that we may always journey together in hope.

This grand celebration of the Migrants Gathering is a beautiful milestone, demonstrating the commitment of the Catholic Church in Taiwan to welcome, care for, and journey alongside migrant workers and immigrants.
Please do not hesitate to come to the Church! The Church is your spiritual home. After long and exhausting workdays, the Church is a place to rest, refresh, and nourish your soul. For the Church is our mother, always bringing hope filled with joy.
At the same time, may this moment inspire migrants and immigrants, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to become more engaged and active participants in the life of the Church in Taiwan, to love this land of Formosa, and to weave moments of joy in your daily lives together with the people of Taiwan.

Distinguished guests, dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, peace be with you!
Today, with hearts full of gratitude, we gather here at the Taoyuan Arena to celebrate the Migrants and Immigrants Gathering in Taiwan – “Journeying Together in Hope, with Love and Gratitude.” In this special Jubilee Year of Hope, it is truly by God’s abundant grace that we can come together from different nations and cultures. On behalf of the organizers, I warmly welcome all of you this day!
We are especially grateful to the Papal Envoy, representatives of bishops’ conferences from various countries, government officials, and friends from all walks of life who join us today to witness the care of the Taiwan Church for migrants and immigrants. Your presence not only symbolizes the unity of the universal Church, but also deepens our realization that we are truly one family in the Lord.
Pope Francis has chosen this year’s theme for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees as: “Migrants, Missionaries of Hope.” These words are powerful. Our migrant and immigrant friends are not only workers in society, but also bearers of hope. For even in times of hardship, you hold fast to your faith; even in foreign lands, you continue to support one another; and through charity, you make God’s presence visible in society.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Taiwan regards the pastoral care for migrants and immigrants as a vital mission, promoting service centers, language programs, labor rights advocacy, and ongoing protection and accompaniment. Today’s gathering is the fruit of these efforts and a living testimony of love and hope.
Dear honored guests, brothers and sisters, as we participate in today’s gathering and are nourished by the Eucharist, let us encourage one another: to seek unity and communion amid our diversity; to experience God’s love and presence in our labors; and to discover in faith the true meaning and hope of life.
Let us walk together in love and gratitude, becoming light for one another, so that this land may radiate hope and joy through our faith and unity. May we journey together as pilgrims of hope, hand in hand, bearing witness to the love and glory of Christ. Amen.

Introduction
The Catholic Church, guided by the teaching of Christ and the mission entrusted to her, recognizes the profound dignity of every human person, created in the image and likeness of God. In a world marked by migration and displacement, the Church is called to respond with mercy, justice, and solidarity. Migrants and immigrants are not strangers, but brothers and sisters, members of the one human family, and part of the Body of Christ.

F. Testimonies
F-1 “Migrant Missionaries of Hope”

Many are called, but few are chosen. Your presence here today is a sign that you are among the chosen. As we gather, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude and thanksgiving.
We are not only celebrating the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ but we are called here to be his instrument, to be the light in this age of darkness and be the symbol of hope to others. But what does hope really mean?
In the dictionary, hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and desire for something to happen, or a feeling of trust. But in the Old Testament, hope means ‘to put one’s confidence in’ or ‘to take refuge in.’ In other words, hope is finding a safe place, and that place is in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Psalm 57, we are reminded to turn to the Lord for refuge. In this foreign land, we were once strangers, but through faith and perseverance we have become acquaintances, then brothers and sisters, and finally a family.
We are called to serve, not to be served. Today, we gather for one mission: to be God’s missionaries, His instruments, His hands reaching out to those who are lost, the broken, and the hopeless.
As migrant workers, providing a good life for our families is never easy. It’s exhausting and tiring. But when we realize that we are serving our purpose, it becomes fulfilling and satisfying. The same is true for our spiritual life. We become more grateful and humble. As Paul reminds the Corinthians, ‘Be grateful in all things, and He will give us victory’ (1 Corinthians 15:57). And today, we stand victorious.
Our journey as migrant missionaries of hope does not end today; it is only the beginning. We still have a long way to go, yet we have already traveled far. As Lao Tzu said, ‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.’ And for us, as Catholic Christians, the faith of each migrant can bring light to the whole world.
I stayed in Taiwan for 14 years, and three of those years felt wasted. Just like the prodigal son, I was lost. I indulged in vices, overwhelmed by the temporary happiness and excitement they brought. Then one day, I woke up and felt empty. That emptiness made me realize something was lacking in my life.
A good friend invited me to go to church. At first, I was hesitant. When I arrived, my mind wandered, but when the priest began his homily, it caught my attention. He spoke of a verse from the Gospel of Matthew, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Hearing that, I prayed and I felt God’s presence. After Mass, the parish community invited me to attend their Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar. During the prayer for the gift of tongues, I suddenly felt the Holy Spirit overcome me. Tears streamed down my face, and though I didn’t understand why it was happening, I could feel the Lord’s grace embracing me.
From that day until now, I have become His servant. The emptiness I once felt has transformed into gratitude and praise.
To those who are searching for meaning, and to those who are lost or burdened—open your heart to the Lord. Perhaps He is calling you.
F-2 “Life in a Foreign Land: A Journey from Hope to Understanding, with Unfailing Strength”
Testimony by Louis Zi, Thai migrant worker
I’m grateful to God for this opportunity to gather together on this special occasion.
Greetings to bishops, priests, religious brothers and sisters, and all the faithful present. May God bless everyone participating in this event today. My name is Louis. It is a great honor for me to represent Thai workers in Taiwan and to share as a “witness of faith.”
Expectations before coming to work in Taiwan
When I decided to work in Taiwan, I was filled with hopes and dreams. I thought about the new opportunities to earn more income, send money home, explore a wider world, learn new cultures, and improve myself. I believed that life would certainly get better if I worked hard and never gave up. Deep in my heart, I imagined saving money each month to achieve the dreams and goals I had set for myself. Though such a journey began with financial goals, but along the way, God uses our circumstances and life experiences to shape us into “witnesses of faith”—even without being on a grand stages or holding a high position.
Challenges that almost led to despair
I came to Taiwan in 2018. Upon arrival, I realized that nothing was as easy as I had imagined. Language was the biggest barrier, and the culture and environment were completely new. Even the taste of food was very different from home.
I could barely communicate. Sometimes, at work, I understood instructions sometimes I didn’t. Occasionally, I made mistakes and was reprimanded or even criticized by coworkers. Some days I was so stressed I didn’t even want to get out of bed to work.
It became worse when after my fifth month, the company where I worked withheld nearly two months’ wages. I felt extremely anxious and didn’t know what to do. Until one day, I visited a migrants’ service center in Zhongli. I am grateful the staff listened to me and referred me to an organization who helped me with my problem. In the early days, I often sat alone, doubting if I made the right decision coming to Taiwan, thinking of just giving up and go home. Loneliness and uncertainty were life’s way of testing me, but they were also opportunities to learn patience and to depend more deeply on God.
One day, I met a Thai priest, Fr. Boy. That encounter was not just a coincidence for me—but rather, it was a turning point in my faith journey. Fr. Boy didn’t just teach religion, he lived it with compassion, humility, and care. Through him, I realized that being a witness of faith doesn’t require loud proclamations, but ‘living honestly and reflecting God’s image’ in everything we do.
Persevering through challenges
Even in darkness, there is always a glimpse of light. I reminded myself, “I didn’t come here to be comfortable—I came for a better future.”
So I began learning Mandarin one or two words a day. I listened, practiced, and tried to communicate more. I made friends with Taiwanese coworkers to learn faster, used translation apps, and even wrote notes asking for help. Every small effort gradually improved my life. I also began noticing little things that made smile and gave me motivation.
Serving others with joy and faith
My life in Taiwan wasn’t just about physical labor. I also had the opportunity to serve as a ‘Thai representative’ and coordinator assisting Vietnamese, Indonesian and Filipino migrant workers, and other nationalities of different faiths.
The key was not only understanding the language, but “listening, empathizing, and helping unconditionally,” reflecting the love of Jesus Christ—a love that transcends nationality, religion, or language. This indiscriminate love for others is a powerful witness. People around me began to feel the spirit of service. Some even asked me, “What gives you hope?” These conversations became an opening of sharing the Gospel in a gentle yet profound way.
Today, I’m still in Taiwan continuing to work hard. But what has changed is my heart— it is stronger, more patient, and I have learned that every difficulty has value if we choose to overcome it.
Thanks to this life abroad, which has helped me grow.
Thanks to the obstacles I’ve faced, for they have made me stronger.
And thanks to God’s love, which helps me smile every day.

F-3 “Migrants, Missionaries of Hope”
Testimony by Ignatius Eko Purwanto, Indonesian migrant worker
My journey as a migrant worker began with a casual conversation among friends. Later on, I realized one of them was an agent helping people go abroad. That conversation eventually led me to my decision to leave home to work in Taiwan.
Of course, this was after discussing with my family, with the hope of earning more for their well-being, especially for my children’s future. It might seem like a story often told, but it is my reality. Perhaps my hopes were similar to many migrant workers.
To make a long story short, I finally arrived in Taiwan after going through the usual stages of the deployment process for migrant workers. I often questioned if I was following procedures correctly, because at that time I truly had no understanding of being a migrant worker —I didn’t even know what kind of work awaited me, nor how to prepare for the language that would be my primary means of communication in a foreign country.
Being far from family and loved ones, and facing a new environment, culture, customs, and especially a very different language, weighed heavily on me and became one of my greatest challenges at work. During the first months, the pressure was intense. There were times I wanted to return home, but after sharing with my family and praying together, even over the phone, my spirit was gradually renewed. My journey is indeed very difficult, but when we are willing to let go and seek God’s help, we can trust that He will make a way.
But I did not want to remain in passive surrender. In addition to keeping in touch with my family, connecting with fellow migrants who shared the same struggles and concerns helped me feel less alone. Building networks with organizations supporting migrants in Taiwan and in other countries helped me slowly understand the realities of being a migrant and realize how complex the challenges facing migrant workers truly are.
Because of the many issues migrants face, some fellow Indonesians and I chose to come together in a community that reaches across regions, cultures, and even religions. In this community, we can care for and strengthen one another. But beyond this, we also want to do something for migrant workers in general, especially those whose rights have been taken away.
Was it easy? Of course not. That is why, on this blessed occasion, I hope that the Church will be willing to actively support us—both morally and materially—in our efforts as migrant workers to free ourselves from oppression.

F-4 Testimony of Faith: A Migrant’s Journey of Hope

Dear brothers and sisters,
I am a new immigrant. People often call our generation of new immigrants with the two words “dâu Đài” (Taiwanese bride). But before getting married, I was a migrant worker.
I came to Taiwan many years ago with simple dreams. Later, I married at an age that was considered quite late for Vietnamese standards. Family life in Taiwan has brought has brought many challenges—of faith, spirit, and daily needs. There were moments I complained to God: “Why, the harder I try, the more difficulties I face?… Why does God not hear me?” But looking back, I see that God never abandoned me. In His own way, He kept giving me hope and strength to trust Him.
If I were to recount the stories of my journey, they would be long and dramatic. But today, I want to share with you about a family I’ve known for quite some time. Outwardly, they look just like any other Vietnamese family in Taiwan. But when I came to learn of the trials they endured, I realized what tremendous faith and hope they must have had to live as they do now.
The husband was Catholic, but the wife was not. Before marriage, she only converted to Catholicism as a requirement for marriage. At first, their family life was very peaceful. But when their second baby was just one month old, a tragedy struck. She suddenly became ill with a mysterious disease doctors could not diagnose. She spent two weeks in the hospital, growing weaker. Her health deteriorated until she was rushed into the intensive care unit, falling into a deep coma with no awareness. Medical specialists did various tests and found out she had a rare and serious condition– one of the blood vessels in her brain was blocked. Surgery was impossible, and if attempted, she might remain in a vegetative state.
When I asked the husband later what gave him the strength to carry the family through such a crisis, he said his greatest weapon was prayer. He prayed the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet constantly. He wrote letters to his wife’s family in Vietnam, asking them to join him in prayer, even though they were Buddhists. He asked the parish community and relatives to pray with him. He told himself that his duty was to trust and hope in God—no matter when or how God acted, and whatever the outcome, he would remain faithful and grateful.
And God answered with a miracle. Gradually, the wife regained consciousness and her strength. Afterward, when she learned from her husband about all that had happened, about how he, her family, and the community had accompanied her in prayer, she experienced deeply the love of God. She slowly recovered which astonished and delighted the doctors.
From then on, returning from the edge of death, she became fervently devoted to God and the saints. She lived kindly, peacefully, always ready to help others. Their family prayed and participated in the Mass faithfully. Of course, storms and hardships still came, but with faith and hope, they were able to embrace and overcome them.
After hearing this story, I wonder if you, like me, also ask: “Where is God in each of our journeys?”
I cannot fully grasp what this couple experienced, but I see in them a powerful faith and hope in God. And I saw how I quickly blamed God for my struggles. But I realize now every person and family has their own trials. No matter our difficulties, what we share as “pilgrims” is a powerful weapon always within reach: faith, prayer, and “vouchers” of trust and hope.
I believe that everything I have gone through, both joys and sorrows, has been arranged by God’s loving hand. Without coming to Taiwan, I might just be an accountant or seamstress in Vietnam. But through God’s grace, I have grown in faith and life. Yes, we may still face weakness, temptations, and hardships, but as long as we do not let go of God’s hand, and as long as we hope, we will find God walking with us. I thank God for choosing me as His child, for allowing me to stand here today, for giving me faith—because without faith, I might have collapsed long ago!
Finally, I would like to quote a passage from The Road of Hope by the Venerable Francis Xavier Nguyễn Văn Thuận, written during his imprisonment, as a gift to you all: “Keep trying. Even if you are weak, even if you fall, ask the Lord for forgiveness and keep moving forward. In the arena, in the international stadium, athletes fall many times, receive many blows, are wounded—but they rise up again, they keep hoping, and they win the championship.”
Each moment of hope builds a life of hope. Each step of faith leads us on the road of hope.
Point by point, a long line is formed.
Moment by moment, a whole life takes shape.
Make each point true, and the line will be beautiful.
Live each moment well, and life will be holy.
The road of hope is drawn from every point of hope.
The life of hope is built from every moment of hope.

Logo Design Concept
The logo is inspired by the Jubilee Year logo and its theme, “Pilgrims of Hope.” It conveys a spirit of joy, vitality, and celebration, reflecting the special significance of the Migrants and Immigrants Gathering in Taiwan on the occasion of the World Day of Migrants and Refugees in this Jubilee Year.
The event logo incorporates several meaningful elements. The Cross represents Jesus’ companionship on our journey, while the sun symbolizes hope and new beginnings. The bamboo-shaped boat reflects resilience throughout life’s journey, and the pilgrims in traditional attire signify the gathering of migrants and immigrants from diverse cultures. Please submit completed Check-In form before 9:45 a.m.
Venue: Taoyuan Arena (No. 1, Section 1, Sanmin Road, Taoyuan District)
Instructions:
- To facilitate communication for departure, the Contact Person/leader on the bus needs to scan the QR Code for online Check-In before arriving at the venue. Please provide the driver’s contact information and vehicle license plate number online.
- Participants arriving by private car or on foot, please create your own group sign. Once gathered, approach the volunteers with the sign: “Assembly Point for Registered Participants” at the front of the main entrance. Volunteers will guide the group to their seats.
- For unregistered participants, please approach volunteers with the sign: “Assembly Point for Unregistered Walk-in Participants”. Volunteers will guide the participants to their seats. Please note that lunch boxes may not be available for unregistered participants.
- Priests, nuns, and volunteers for the Liturgy and program, please approach the Information/Check-In Desk. A volunteer will guide you to your reserved seats.
What participants can do while on the bus: (Read the information on the A3-sized Shuttle Bus Identification Sign identification card and the back of the Contact Person/Leader’s ID badge)

G-5 Transportation Information
Guidelines for Relevant Personnel
- (A) Shuttle Bus Drivers
- Arrival: all buses must enter Deyu Street via Wanshou Road heading toward Chenggong Road (one-way traffic only) to drop off passengers. After drop-off, buses must not remain parked near the Taoyuan Arena (no parking space). Please find suitable parking locations independently or use the large vehicle paid parking lot on Dayou Road.
- Before leaving for the venue, please affix the A3-sized “Bus Identification Sign” (provided by the MIGT organizers) to the lower right corner of the windshield, with the driver’s name and contact number.
- Passenger Pick-up: please wait at the designated standby location and time. Proceed to the pick-up point only after receiving notification from the Emcees. Do not arrive early at the designated pick-up point, as this will cause traffic congestion and may result in police intervention.
- Police patrols will be in place to enforce traffic and parking regulations. Do not double-park or pick up passengers while double-parked.
- Although red and yellow line parking is permitted under the event’s traffic permit, buses are strictly prohibited from parking within 5 meters of fire hydrants, 10 meters before and after bus stops, 10 meters before and after intersections, and in disabled parking spaces.
- Please follow the assigned “departure batch,” “location,” and “time.” Failure to comply may result in police enforcement or removal.
- (B) Contact Persons/Leaders on the Bus
- Maintain communication with the bus driver primarily via mobile phone or Line. Check that the bus displays the correct batch signage. Inform the driver to wait for notification before entering the venue according to the assigned batch, time, and location. Early arrival is prohibited and may result in police action.
- Inform passengers to take note of their seat neighbors and exchange contact information. During departure, follow the volunteer holding the sign to the designated Pick-up Point.
- Before departure, quickly conduct a headcount. Once all are present, notify the volunteer with the sign to proceed. After boarding the bus, conduct another head count.
- (C) Bus Passengers
- Do not bring alcohol or dangerous items into the Taoyuan Arena.
- Take note of the names and contact information of your group leader and seat neighbors.
- For departure, follow exit instructions and the volunteer with the sign guiding the group to the designated Pick-up Point.
- (D) Pedestrians
- When crossing intersections, use designated crosswalks. Do not jaywalk.
- Walk on sidewalks and avoid walking on roadways to prevent traffic disruption.
- Do not bring alcohol or prohibited items into the Taoyuan Arena.

G-13 Instructions for Leaving the Venue
- Bus drivers are requested to wait at the designated time and Pick-up Points while following the event organizers’ instructions for picking up passengers in the specified order.
- Participants should leave the venue in the order announced by the hosts after the Mass. Groups who traveled the farthest will be given priority (i.e. Hualien, Kaohsiung, Tainan, Chiayi).

Hear this, you who trample upon the needy
and destroy the poor of the land!
“When will the new moon be over,” you ask,
“that we may sell our grain,

add to the shekel,
and fix our scales for cheating!
We will buy the lowly for silver,
and the poor for a pair of sandals;

Beloved:
First of all, I ask that supplications, prayers,
petitions, and thanksgivings be offered for everyone,
for kings and for all in authority,
that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life
in all devotion and dignity.
This is good and pleasing to God our savior,
who wills everyone to be saved
and to come to knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God.
There is also one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus,
who gave himself as ransom for all.
This was the testimony at the proper time.
For this I was appointed preacher and apostle
— I am speaking the truth, I am not lying —,

now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me?
I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg.

when I am removed from the stewardship,
they may welcome me into their homes.’
He called in his master’s debtors one by one.
To the first he said,
‘How much do you owe my master?’
He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’

Then to another the steward said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’

are more prudent in dealing with their own generation
than are the children of light.
I tell you, make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth,

The person who is trustworthy in very small matters
is also trustworthy in great ones;
and the person who is dishonest in very small matters
is also dishonest in great ones.
If, therefore, you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth,
who will trust you with true wealth?
If you are not trustworthy with what belongs to another,
who will give you what is yours?
No servant can serve two masters.
He will either hate one and love the other,
or be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve both God and mammon.”

PROFESSION OF FAITH
All—I believe in one God,
the Father almighty, maker of
heaven and earth, of all things
visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
(At the words that follow, up to and including and became man, all bow)
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the
Virgin Mary and became man.
For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,

He will come again in glory to judge

OFFERTORY
The Priest, standing at the altar, takes the paten with the bread and holds it slightly raised above the altar with both hands, saying in a low voice:
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
for through your goodness, we have received the bread we offer you:
fruit of the earth and work of human hands,
it will become for us the bread of life.

The Deacon pours wine and a little water into the chalice, saying quietly:
By the mystery of this water and wine, may we come to share in the divinity of Christ, who humbled himself to share in our humanity.
